Vineeta is Associate Professor and Convener – CSR and Sustainability at the Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH). She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Aligarh Muslim University and has an academic experience of 22 years. Her research interests are Sustainable, Responsible Supply Chains, CSR with a Human Rights’ perspective, CSR in India, Business Ethics and multistakeholder partnerships for Sustainability and CSR initiatives.

Vineeta was selected and supported by the British Council in 2004 for exposure to CSR education at the University of Bath, UK and CSR best practices by corporate in the UK. As a Council representative (2004-2006), Vineeta contributed to – creating a non-proprietary CSR curriculum for B-Schools in India and extensively engaged management educators, students, Government and private company officials to promote understanding of CSR.

Since 2007, Vineeta has been actively engaging with multiple Sustainability and CSR platforms. She is a Member of, FICCI National Committee for Social Enterprise, a dynamic body of pioneers in social innovation -helping set up an ecosystem for socially conscious entrepreneurship in India. As a member of the CSR Team at FICCI, Vineeta has conducted more than 50 on-site assessments of CSR projects by Indian corporate. In addition, she regularly moderates deliberations at FICCI’s multistakeholder forum for CSR and Sustainability and speaks at other academic and industry platforms.

Vineeta has led the conceptualisation, designing and curation of CSR and Sustainability conferences organised by BIMTECH over the past 11 years, with partners like –the National NHRD Network, United Nations Global Compact Network- India, Economic Times, Global Reporting Initiative and the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.

Her Book “Demonstrating Responsible Business”, published by Bloomsbury in 2019, received the Best Author Award 2019 by -CSR India (India’s largest CSR Network and online portal) and has been received well by students, faculty and industry practitioners.
