BIMTECH is now AACSB accredited institute – joins an ivy league of top globally recognized B-schools. The US based accrediting body i.e. Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) Accreditation is considered to be a Gold standard in management education.
All the four courses are approved by the regulatory authority AICTE and accredited by the highest national accreditation body, National Board of Accreditation (NBA). These are also approved by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for MBA equivalence.
PGDM (IBM) course is also accredited by globally recognized Chartered Insurance Institute of UK (CII-UK). BIMTECH has a dual degree programme in association with CII-UK.
MBA & PGDM are both Post Graduate Courses in Management. In India, only universities, be it central/state/or private, are authorized to conduct MBA courses. The autonomous institutions approved by AICTE offer PGDM. From the point of employability, there is no differentiation. PGDM courses are normally found much more flexible and hence close to the industry/recruiter’s need.
BIMTECH has got three categories for admission. 85 percent seats in all programmes are filled through merit/ general category while 5 percent seats are filled through ESCS (Economically & Socially Challenged Students) Category – (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Minority Communities (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians/ Parsis & Jains)) to bring social diversity in the class.
15% Concession to SC/ST and 7.5% Concession to OBC/Minority Communities in Hostel Accommodation Charges will also be given under this category.
For the candidates under merit category, valid score in CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT and good performance in further selection stage is must. Rest 10 percent seats are open for Corporate/NRI sponsored & NRI candidates.
Additional, 45 seats are reserved under Supernumerary category.
Please mention aggregate percentage of marks for all subjects (including optional subjects) irrespective of your Board regulations.
Please note: DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOARD RULES OR OTHER RULES USED BY YOU EARLIER WHILE CALCULATING PERCENTAGE. YOU ARE TO USE THE ABOVE RULE WHICH CLEARLY STATES THAT ALL SUBJECTS INCLUDING YOUR OPTIONAL SUBJECTS ARE TO BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION WHILE CALCULATING YOUR 10TH AND 12TH STANDARD PERCENTAGE.
For example, if you have studied 7 subjects INCLUDING ALL optional subjects, all 7 subjects must be taken into consideration irrespective of your board rules and regulations.
Please follow your university/institution stated rule for conversion of CGPA into percentage.
In case your university/institution does not have any scheme or rule to convert CGPA into percentage, the same can be done by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.
Yes, 5% seats are reserved for ESCS (Economically & Socially Challenged Students) Category – [SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ Minority Communities (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians/Parsis & Jains)] to bring social diversity in the class.
For achieving the goal of social inclusion and diversity, these students are also given some additional weightage in calculation of the merit score.
You need to update CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT score through student dashboard (BIMTECH Admissions Portal) after the same are declared for the preparation of final selection list based on merit. The official score card will be verified and needs to be submitted in case you have got an admission offer.
You can choose to submit more than one score. BIMTECH will choose the BEST score based on the eligibility before giving out the Final admission offer.
